He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Wesley and Bessie Fay Hunt Garrett; his spouse Monnie Nell Trammell; and his siblings, Joe Garrett, Sonny Garrett, Durwood Garrett, Donald Garrett, Katheline Row, Ruby Brooks and Marie Garrett.
He is survived by: his son Robert Garrett; and his grandson Robert Garrett, Jr.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other friends and family.
