He was predeceased by: his parents, O. J. Edwards and Laveda Edwards (Barnett); his siblings, O. C. Edwards (Jeanette Edwards), Ralph Edwards (Dorothy Edwards), Geneva Henderson (Jack Henderson), Patricia Logsdon (John Logston) and Deloris Edwards; and his stepdaughter Misty Burks.
He is survived by: his wife Becky Edwards; his children, Jacob Edwards and Tami (Barry Callaway); his grandchildren, Cody, Shelby Callaway, Christian Callaway, Cristin and Paul Cornelius; his daughters, Laura (Genero Valdez), Miranda Valdez and Kristy Burks; his grandson Jonathan Burks; his daughter Brandy Burks; his grandchildren, Sarah Burks and Jayla Whitley; his sister Barbara Schlieper (Charles Schlieper); and his great grandchildren, Joedi, Carson, Charli, Liam and William.
