It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Scoggins (Joshua, Texas), born in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, who passed away on January 10, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Akins and Cuba Akins Pierce. She is survived by: her children, Jacque Blackburn of Latham Ohio, Kimberly Powada (Andrew) of Fort Worth, Sherri Monsanto of Leonard, Tommy Scoggins (Bobbie Jo) and H. L. Scoggins; her grandchildren, Brent, Heath, Michael, James, Kayla, Hailey, Casey, Hannah, Chloe, Lyle and Colt; her sisters, Barbara Shearer of Hobbs and Beverly Tidwell of Cleburne; and her close friends, Betty Scott, Mary Parrott, Jean Chamberlain, Mary Ward and Judy Chamberlain. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
