He is survived by: his wife Josephine Alaniz; his children, Gina Ann Gutierrez (Rudy), Christopher Alaniz (Elizabeth), Linda Gale Alaniz, Jose Luis Alaniz, Jr. (Frances) and Irene Uriegas (David); and his brothers, Thomas Alaniz, Matilde Alaniz, Ruben Alaniz, Adolfo Alaniz and Alfredo Alaniz. He is also survived by 17 Grandchildren, 34 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild and numerous Nephews and Nieces.
