He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Pankey and Edith Coston Pankey; and his siblings, Doc Pankey, Billy Joe Pankey, Otis Pankey, Ricky Pankey, Jackie Pankey and Polly Pankey.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda Robuck Taylor; his children, Jeffery Pankey, Caleb Pankey, David Taylor, Keith Taylor and Jessica Goodsby; his siblings, Phyllis Hensley, Patsy Slover, Gwen Springer and Randy Pankey; and his grandchildren, Megan Whisenhunt, Stevie Taylor, Kolby Taylor, Tatum Taylor, Leandria Diaz, Alexandria Nixon, Briandria Goodsby and Josiah Goodsby. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
