She was predeceased by: her parents, Ples Morrison and Lucy Morrison (Johnson) of Brown's Ranch; her husband Olan Howard; her daughter Linda McCorkle; her son-in-law Wade McCorkle; her grandson Allen McCorkle; her great grandchild Matthew McCorkle; and her pet Sophie.

She is survived by: her children, Robert Howard (Wanda) of Jonesboro, TX and Susie Woods (Jerry); and her grandchildren, La Juanna Flournoy, Brenda Burkes, Rick McCorkle, Randy McCorkle, Teresa Johnson, Terry Woods and Tammy Edmonds. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Jonesboro Baptist Church.
