He is survived by: his wife Evie; his sons, Donald, Russell and Tommy; his grandchildren, Evelyn, Parker, Oliver, Kennedy, Elsie and Ronin; his mother Geneva; and his siblings, Russell and Brenda.
Sam believed strongly in blood donation and had made 128 donations totaling over 16 gallons! In lieu of flowers, the family asks you donate blood, if possible, with Carter Blood Care in his honor.
