It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucille Newman of Johnson City, Texas, who passed away on June 9, 2023, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Peter "Murphy" Crider and Rose Gibson; her husband Samuel Dudley Newman; and her siblings, Otto, Ray, Pete, Angeline, Hun and Sarah.

She is survived by: her sons, Jimmy Charles Hanberry (Karen Newman) and Dudley Ray Newman; and her grandchildren, David Newman Cox (Catherine), Melissa Dibiase (Cole), Kate Clower (George), Heath Hamilton (Kathleen) and Jared Hamilton (Amanda). She is also survived by her twelve great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ave Maria Hospice, P.O. Box 3445, Fredericksburg, TX 78624 or the charity of your choice.
