Joe Blake Obituary

We are sad to announce that on February 22, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Joe Blake (Johnson City, Texas), born in Jonesboro, Louisiana. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Joe Blake to show support.

He was predeceased by: his parents, I. C. Blake and Louise Blake; and his siblings, Dan Blake, Julia Blake Essmeier and John Blake.

He is survived by: his wife Sherry Blake; his children, Laura Blake Adair (Allen Adair) and Christopher Blake (Christin Blake) of Flint, Texas.; his grandchildren, Aidan, Olivia Adair, Hunter and Mason Blake; and his siblings-in-law, Sandy Blake and Don Essmeier. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Joe fought a long battle against normal pressure hydrocephalus and non-small cell lung cancer and then most recently COVID.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any donations to be made to the Hydrocephalus Association (http://www.hydroassoc.org) as there needs to be further research and education in the early diagnosis and treatment of the neurological disorder adult-onset Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus.
