He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Pianka and Virginia (High); his daughter Karen Pianka; and his siblings, Michael Pianka, Jeannine Shepard and Nicholas Pianka.

He is survived by: his daughters, Helen Dunlap and Gretchen Pianka. He is also survived by three grand-children.
