She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Chowen and Charlotte Chowen; her husband Stephen Matthews, Sr.; her sisters, Mary and Caroline; and her grandson Matthew Bacon.
She is survived by: her children, Victoria Bacon (Ron), Steve Matthews, Jr. and Chris Matthews (Jennifer); her siblings, Lew, Joan, Mike, Danny, Mark, Matt, Kathy, Joe, Jack and Terry; her grandsons, Jake Bacon (Carley), Mike Bacon (Angie) and Jim Bacon; and her great grandchildren, Jennifer Bacon, Justin Bacon, Zach Bacon and Sam Bacon. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
