He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Lee and George Lechow; his aunt Sylvia; his uncle Rudolph Lechow; his stepmother Bernice Moore; his sister Dorothy; his brother-in-law Thomas Abadie; and his grandson Jordan Gonsoulin.
He is survived by: his wife Melody Faye Lechow; his children, Shane (Merideth Lechow), Kevin (Sara Smith), Becky (Troy Danz) and Tabitha (Johnny Slawinski); his sisters, Lois Ann (Terrell Norris) of Boerne and Lora Mae of Boerne; his grandchildren, Roger Ruiz, Kayla Rivas, Jesse, Hanna Castillo, Josh Danz, Tuckier, Max Lechow, Johnny, Jagger Slawinski, Connor, Cheyenne Smith, Kaylee, Kiera Roeder, Madelyn, Kylie and Peyton Allen; and his children, Sabastian Castillo, Tatum, Willow (Oaklyn Gonsoulin) and Wylder Ramirez (Mia Rivas). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
