He was predeceased by: his parents, John Norris Scruggs and Annis Mae Lee Scruggs; his significant other Glenda Gail Scruggs; and his siblings, Infant Mae Dell Scruggs, Lera Childress, Avis Lambert Lout, Errollene Brimberry, Audrey Dyer, Hervey Scruggs and W. L. "Chuck" Scruggs.
He is survived by: his children, Glenn Scruggs (Dorothea) of Shreveport, Dennis Scruggs (Sherry) of Joaquin, Texas and Joanne Scruggs English (Stevie) of Joaquin, Texas; his grandchildren, Hollie Scruggs Adams (Chad) of Joaquin, Brooke Scruggs Diven (Kane) of Joaquin, Lindsey Scruggs Baillio (Jody) of Bossier City, Noah Glenn Scruggs (Emily) of Metarie, Race English of Joaquin, Cam English of Joaquin, Randy Nelson of Fairborn, Lora Nelson of Baton Rouge, Hollie Jolley of Bossier City and Jessica Peterson of Shreveport, Louisiana; his great grandchildren, Caren, Callie, Cierra Adams, Titan Diven, Shelby Diven Pride, Lila, Jillian, Sadie, Evalynn, Dallas Baillio, Ezra, Alyza Scruggs, Carson Guyer and Harper Wilkinson; his siblings, Eva Scruggs Melton and Joe Scruggs (Frankie); his brother-in-law Fred Foreman (Frances) of LaMarque, Texas; his pet Diesel; and his friends, David Yule, Lewis and Craig Wright. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
