He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Bottoms and Nettie Bottoms; his former wife Dena; and his son Larry. He is survived by: his brothers, Earl, Joe, Dale, Odelle, Durwood and Jack; his wife Joyce Loftin of Waco; his children, Cathy Bottoms of Houston, Ron Bottoms (Carmen) of Jewett and Angela Zientek (Jimmy) of Round Rock; his grandchildren, Jessica Estes (Jason), Adrienne Menke (Mills), Samantha Bottoms, Elizabeth Cochran (Daniel), Heath Bottoms (Abigail), Lauren Harris, Brittany Zientek, Missy Bottoms, Chase Flores, Brandon Zientek (Jordan), Cassidy Rivers (Dylan) and Logan Bottoms; and his great grandchildren, Elijah, Emerson, Audrey Estes, Adalie, Connor, Ethan Menke, Kit, Eleanor, Annie Grace, Zachry Cochran, Malachi, Maverick, Forest Bottoms, Kylan Harris, Lakelee Flores, Drake and Heidi Rivers.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home (814 Main St, Jewett, TX 75846). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (509 Division St, Jewett, TX 75846).
