He was predeceased by: his parents, Joyce Hatfield and Vernon Sheppard. He is survived by: his wife Carla Sheppard of Jewett; his children, Haley Riley (Kyle) and Matthew Edward Sheppard (Hannah); his grandchildren, Ryder Sheppard, Kash Riley, Samuel Sheppard, Logan Riley and Karson Riley; his siblings, Debbie Grimes of Alto and Troy Sheppard (Shelli) of Madisonville; his uncle Tom Andersen (Salli); and his aunt Becky Grice. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home (814 Main St, Jewett, TX 75860). A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (509 Division St, Jewett, TX 75846).
