He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Louise Abron (Louise); his siblings, Maude Ethel and James Alfred; and his stepbrother James Irving. He is survived by: his family Roosevelt; his daughters, Carolyn Coverson (Sanford), Beverly Nelson (Rodney), Cynthia Fagan, Sheila Harvey (Phillip) and Patricia Collins (Willie); his grandchildren, Nikki (Marcus), Teresa (Andre), Bryan, Courteney and Alexandria; his great grandchildren, Trinity, Kennedi, Jaylin of Jaxson, AJ, Thomas and Brylin; his great great grandchild Alice; his siblings, King Fagan (Doris), Rushie Randle and Mary Griggs; and his stepsiblings, Ray Irving, Claudia (Charles) and Birdie. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and loving relatives and friends.
