He was predeceased by: his siblings, J. W. Owens, Billy Owens, Ray Owens and Sonja Nell Owens; and his friend Royce Henderson.

He is survived by: his wife Deborah Bolick Owens; his children, Michael Owens and Kelli Owens Tolleson (David); his grandchildren, Payten Kimble and Eli Kimble; his sister Gloria Owens Glass (J. E.); and his siblings-in-law, Elizabeth Libby Owens, Katie Bolick Sutton and Alan Bolick (Linda). He is also survived by 6 nieces, 3 nephews as well as numerous extended family and friends.

No wonder he and Royce were close life long friends! He was a treasured friend of Royce's, and also my friend and classmate. The L-K class of 1966 will certainly miss him.
