It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Otis Capps Jr. of Jefferson, Texas, born in Vivian, Louisiana, who passed away on August 25, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Oval Capps Sr. and Nina Bell Avery Capps. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Capps of Jefferson Texas; his children, David Capps (Heather) of Jefferson Texas, Shannon Capps (Stacy) of Texarkana Texas and Lora Capps of Jefferson Texas; his grandchildren, Codie Capps of Hallsville, Morgan Hale (Eli) of Talco, Gage Dorgan of Jefferson Texas, Ellie Mathis (Noah) of Woodlawn Texas, Bailyn Dorgan of Jefferson Texas, Colton Capps of Texarkana Texas, Emma Capps of Texarkana Texas and Caysen Cherry of Jefferson Texas; his great grandchild Waylon Mathis; his stepson Jeff Bounds; his sister Brenda Langston (James) of Atlanta Texas; and also, Sammy Dorgan and Ryan Bollman. He is also survived by Aunts, Uncles, In-laws, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and State guidelines, we want to remind everyone to practice proper safety and social distancing.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to the Cypress Bend Adventist Elementary School at 2997 FM 728, Jefferson, Texas 75657.
