She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wesley Reed Sr. and Lovie B. Reed; her daughter Lovie Mitchell; and her siblings, John Wesley Reed Jr., Sammie L. Reed, Nellie J. Wilson and Mary F. Benton.
She is survived by: her husband Deacon DeLawrence Mitchell Sr.; her children, LeDeah Mitchell-Price (Deandrew) of Houston and DeLawrence Mitchell Jr. (Tiffany) of Woodlawn; her grandchildren, Tavieo Robinson-Houston, William Mitchell-Mesquite, DeLawrence Mitchell III and Diamond Jones (Larry); and also, Mitchell-Tulsa, Mary Alice Hillman of Jefferson, Sheila Kennedy of Jefferson, Johnnie Reed (Jessica) of Houston and David Reed (Janet) of Houston. She is also survived by her family, friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Lewis & Walker Funeral Home (603 TX-49, Jefferson, TX 75657). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the New Vision Missionary Baptist Church (2800 George Gregg St, Marshall, TX 75670).
