He was predeceased by: his parents, Loyal Works and Emma Works; his children, Christie Louise Sarrett and Edward Paul Burnett; his siblings-in-law, Frieda Joyce, Everett Dennis, Rene and Tommy Young; and his brothers, Johnny Lynn Works and Danny Works.
He is survived by: his wife Lillian Jean Works of Jefferson, TX; his daughters, Theresa Harper (Kenneth) of Forney, TX, Carol Dunn (Clifton) of Forney, TX and Pamela Cranfill (Eddie) of Gun Barrell, TX; and his siblings, Robbie Works (Mary) of Longview, TX, Dewey Works (Pam) of Carthage, TX, Judy Cato of Linden, TX, Pat Pellam (Marin) of Tatum, TX, Phyllis Capps (Mike) of Carthage, TX and Sally Woods (John) of Tatum, TX. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren and one on the way and numerous nieces and nephews.
