He was predeceased by: his parents, Yvonne Sybil Johnson Smith and James Ralph Smith; and his brother James Edwin Smith. He is survived by: his son Garrett Smith; his granddaughter Kara Hair (Greg) of Athens; his friends, Gavin, Lydia, Madison and McKenzie; and also, D. J., Brittnie, Noah, Makayla, Garrett and Jaycee.
