He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Morris Thompson and Nettie Fitzgerald Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Patterson of Jefferson; and his children, Crystal Hampton (Shane) of Marshall, Carla Simmons of Avinger and Carl Thompson, Jr. of Jefferson. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren as well as numerous other extended family and friends.
