He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Smith and Bertie Smith (Stanaland); his son Thomas Rayford Smith; and his grandson Ty Gregory. He is survived by: his wife Margaruet Jolene Smith; his daughters, Tresa (Delwin Gregory) of Sweetwater and Deborah (Ed Townsend) of Amarillo; and his sister Imarie Meador. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
