She was predeceased by: her husband Ray Payne; her parents, Glen Grady and Annie Grady; her grandchildren, Paige Payne, Taylor Payne and Ryan Payne; her daughter-in-law Jo Beth Payne; and her sister Louise Zant.
She is survived by: her children, E. R. "Skipper" Payne (Katie) of Jasper, Texas, Glenn Payne of Jasper, Texas, Cindy Payne and Vicki Payne of Jasper, Texas; her siblings, Hal Ben Grady of Richmond, Texas, Sue Mays of Mineral Wells, Betty Nelson (Jerry) of Brenham and Lena Biles of Chicago, Illinois; and her grandchildren, Porter Payne, Elizabeth Peterson and Allison Short. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
