With solemn reverence, we commemorate Nancy Jean Rhodes Nicholson of Jasper, Texas, whose life came to an end on December 15, 2024 at the age of 82, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles C. Rhodes, Sr. and Carolyn Unger Rhodes; her siblings, Judith Popejoy James, Bruce Benson Rhodes and Brian Predmore Rhodes; and her sister-in-law Avery Alderman Rhodes.
She is survived by: her siblings, Susan Rutledge Zaffater, Charles Clayton Rhodes, Jr. and David Stephen Rhodes (Glenna Faye Rhodes) of Nacogdoches; her children, Scott Clayton Nicholson (Ann) of Columbia, Mark Randall Nicholson (Charyce) of Spring, Amy Rhodes Nicholson Wright (Keith Wright) of Zavalla and Matthew McCall Nicholson of The Woodlands; and her adoptive son Ben Hancock of Jasper. She is also survived by "Nana" by her family, was blessed with nine grand-children and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home - Jasper (2577 N Wheeler St, Jasper, TX 75951). A memorial service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First Methodist Church (329 N Bowie St, Jasper, TX 75951).
