It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Risenhoover DeRorre of Jasper, Texas, who passed away on January 31, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carmel Risenhoover and Viola Simpson Risenhoover; her husband Thomas Joseph DeRorre; and her siblings, Cynthia, Carmolene, Rosie, Gary and C. C. Risenhoover.
She is survived by: her daughters, Chantelle Hamilton (John) of Huntington and Kristen Nikodem of Jasper, Texas; her sisters, Emma Jones (Kenneth) of Andrews and Roberta Lynch of Port Arthur, Texas; and her grandchildren, Emily Hollandsworth (Bryant), Erin Hamilton, Ella Hamilton and Olivia Hornsby.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home (2577 N Wheeler St, Jasper, TX 75951). A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Old Magnolia Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to City of Jasper Animal Shelter, 506 County Road 296, Jasper, Texas 75951.
