He was predeceased by: his parents, Zay Adrian and Dessie Byerly; and his siblings, Charles Wesley Byerly and Billie Vernell Phillips. He is survived by: his children, Mary Gayle Kennedy (Randall Kennedy) of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Dustin Thomas Woods (Amy) of Dallas, Texas; his stepbrother Rubin Brown of Washington; his sisters, Adrian Harrison and Priscilla Garcia of San Augustine, Texas; and his grandchildren, Matthew Kennedy, Dylan Woods, Tyler Woods and Payton Woods.
