With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doctor Lee Popejoy Jr. of Jasper, Texas, born in Ada, Oklahoma, who passed away on September 7, 2020 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Tarence Popejoy, Sr. and Vivienne Flowers Popejoy; his former wife Edith Griggs Popejoy; and his sister Carolyn Nell Popejoy. He is survived by: his wife Cheri McMahon Popejoy; his children, Laura Popejoy Golden (Andy) of Jasper, Caroline Popejoy Hart (Alan) of Jasper, Lee T. Popejoy, III of Jasper, Kristi Popejoy Pudwill (Joe) of Bullard, Augusta Popejoy Andrews (Brian) of Little Rock, AR, Stirling Popejoy (Lana) of Louisville, KY and Nicholas Popejoy (Carrie) of Jasper; his stepchildren, Casey Biscamp Wilson (Van) of Spring, Jason Dickerson (Lora Lee) of Georgetown and Meagan Biscamp (Kim Johnson) of Austin; and his brother John Popejoy (Judith Popejoy James) of Indianapolis, IN. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren.
