It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Schmitt (Jasper, Texas), born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on June 3, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Schmitt and Gertrude Schmitt; and his brother Richard Schmitt. He is survived by: his son Charles Leon Schmitt of Tomball; his sisters, Carol Ann Jacobs (Arlo) of Van Buren, Phyllis S. Hallam of Jasper and Elizabeth "Tizzie" Nicholson (Rick) of Petal; and his sister-in-law Bobbie Schmitt of Picayune. He is also survived by one grandchild and one step granddaughter.
