It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Byford Dan Marshall of Jasper, Texas, who passed away on January 1, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Marshall and Easter Marshall (Hamilton); his grandson Corey Wood; and his great grandchild Bailey Heald. He is survived by: his wife Dr. Yvonne Marshall; his daughters, Rhonda Chapman (Bruce) and Joy Brunner; his grandchildren, Darci Holloway (Doug), Madison Potgieter (Jaco), Brad Chapman (Emily) and Jenson Brunner; and his great grandchildren, Piper Holloway, Maci Holloway, Jace Potgieter, Emersyn Potgieter and Lillian Chapman.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gipson Funeral Home (1515 S Chestnut St, Lufkin, TX 75901). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
