He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer McMahon and Freddie McMahon; his wife Geneva McMahon; his granddaughter Elizabeth "Libby" McMahon; and his sisters, Phoebe Sargent, Janice Greenwood, Mary Leola Winnett and Jerline Cole.

He is survived by: his sons, Billy Joe McMahon (Christine) of Searcy, AR, Fred Tillman McMahon (Cynthia) of Jasper, Tommy Sam McMahon of Jasper, Jimmy Duane McMahon (Sandy) of Big Springs and John Mark McMahon (Donna) of Big Springs, Texas; his grandchildren, Courtney Parker, Kayla McMahon, Joshua Tillman McMahon, Sarah Beth Dehart, Zachary Samuel McMahon and John Caleb McMahon; and his great grandchildren, Grady Parker, Stevie Parker, Ryan Hubbard, Faith McMahon, Rain McMahon, Sabrina Dehart, Zane Samuel McMahon and Jex McMahon.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church, 3196 US Highway 190 West, Jasper, Texas 75951.
