He was predeceased by: his wife Ola Mae Smith; his parents, John F. Smith and Martha Smith; and his siblings, Sam, Mary, Hazel, Otis, Gail of Billy, E. C. and Leonard.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Smith (Melinda) of Pittsburg, TX and Kathy Pickering (Greg) of Lake Jackson, TX; his grandchildren, Michael Pickering (Noelle) of Georgetown, TX, Jeffrey Pickering (Chelsea) of Washington, DC and Kathryn Smith of Ithaca; his great grandchildren, Haddon, Liam, Lincoln, Madelyn and Graham; and his brother Bob of Port LaVaca, TX.. He is also survived by Granddad to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
