With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Albert Pickering Sr. of Jasper, Texas, born in Dequincy, Louisiana, who passed away on September 13, 2020 at the age of 81. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Albert Pickering Sr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond D. Pickering and Elouise Pickering; his siblings, Ross Pickering, Elton Pickering and Diane Clifton; and his grandson Skylar Shae Persons.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Pickering of Jasper, Texas; his children, Albert Pickering, Jr. (Melba) of Jasper, Texas, Rodney Pickering (Becky) of Jasper, Texas, Keith Pickering of Jasper, Texas and Sandra Melancon (Randy) of Sulphur, Louisiana; his siblings, Lee Pickering (Linda) of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Mary Pierce of DeQuincy, Louisiana and Patricia Gore of DeQuincy, Louisiana; and his grandchildren, James Pickering, Jennifer Bronson, Brandi Schroer, Paul Pickering, Luke Pickering, Coley Persons, Shelby Pickering and Maddye Pickering. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.

Funerals are currently a public event being held during the national response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
