She was predeceased by: her parents, Mattie Adeline Gurley Thomas and Belvin Thomas; her brothers, Lindley Thomas and Neal Thomas; and her grandson Phillip Stephen Palousek.
She is survived by: her husband James H. "Buck" Jones of Jarrell; her children, Jan Brandon of Houston, Cheryl Hoiby (Matt) of Basalt, CO and James A. Jones (Pam) of Fort Worth; her grandchildren, Emily Brooke Scott (James), Justin Neill Ellason (Laura), Taylor Jordan Ellason, Graham Reid Ellason (Sara), Kirby Mackenzie Ellason, Kourtney Artie Dixon (Eric), Nicole Alyn Wayson (Ryan), Sarah Taylor Berges (Julien), Michael Dane Sanders, James Britton Sanders and Cadara Caneel Sanders; and her siblings, Ruth Rolston, Annette Thomas and Donald Thomas (Kon Hue). She is also survived by other loving family members and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Corn Hill Cemetery Fund.
