With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Dean Long of James, Texas, born in Grapeland, Texas, who passed away on July 9, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvy Glenn and Ruby Estelle Guice; her husband James L. Long; and her siblings, Charles Edward Guice and Sandra Annette Guice.

She is survived by: her son David L. Long; her nephew James Howard Guice; and her nieces, Jerri Ann Kammack and Debbie Kay Kirwin.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Guiceland Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 571, Grapeland, Texas 75844.
