It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Philip Clayton Bates (James, Texas), who passed away on November 19, 2020, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Christine and John William Bates; his wife Catherine Bates; his siblings, Diane Duty, Richard and James Bates; and his granddaughter Debbie Brown.
He is survived by: his children, John Bates (Jul), Carolyn Tusing (Chris), Lee Bates (Stacie), Steven Yarbrough (Amanda), Diane Bates and Tammy Bates; his grandchildren, Catherine, William Hicks, Kaylee Shelton, Madison Brown, Macy Yarbrough, Benjamin, Noah, Kennedy Bates, Tammie Nichols, DeeDee Caldwell, Jackie Corl, Philip and Jason Brewer; and his pet June Bug. He is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
