She was predeceased by: her parents, Major Lee and Martha Howard; her husband James Eugene Joplin (Gene); her son-in-law Curtis Smalley; and her siblings, Euel Howard, Freddie Howard, Johnny Howard, Neil Barrier and Helen Gunn.
She is survived by: her sisters, Dottie Barrier of Brownfield and June (Dwayne Cornett) of Meadow; and her children, Mark (Becky Joplin) of Lubbock, Marty Joplin of Andrews, Marla Smalley of Temple and Laranda (Ron Eakin) of FloweMmound. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
