He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Lyons and Cleva Jack Lyons Greger (Jackie). He is survived by: his children, James Lyons of Waco, Tracy Dimerson (Robert) and Ashtyn Lyons of Marlin; his siblings, Jan Johnson (Rodney) of Mooreville and Paul Lyons of Marlin; and his close friend Etta Kearney-Anderson. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Marlin Volunteer Fire Department.
