He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth McCarty (Harden) and Alfred Delma McCarty; his wife Billie Ruth of Littlefield, TX; his brother Weldon McCarty; and his son Kenny McCarty.
He is survived by: his daughter Jamie Thomason; his grandchildren, Lance Thomason (Jessica), Meagan Hughes (Zach), Morgan Clynch (Scott) and Michael McCarty; and his great grandchildren, Hope, Mac and Luke.
