He was predeceased by: his siblings, Travis Godfrey and Christine Mathews; his wife Dorothy; his children, David Godfrey and Claudia Harding; and his grandson Shawn Godfrey.
He is survived by: his sons, Grant Godfrey (Reca) of Blanket and Norman Godfrey of Blanket; and his brother Jerry Godfrey (Linda) of Abilene. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, fifteen great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
