With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Woodrow Smith of Jacksonville, Texas, born in Repton, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 12, 2024 at the age of 77. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dempsey Reed and Lucille Reed; his wife Barbara Thompson Smith; his aunt Evie Smith; and his siblings, Joe Mack Reed, Cecial Everette, James Everette, Judy Jackson and Brenda Highsmith.

He is survived by: his uncle Jonas (Mary Agnes Smith); his sons, Cole Lucien (Jill) of Jacksonville, Rodney Thompson of Jacksonville, Randy Thompson of Jacksonville and Russell Thompson of Kilgore; his sister Linda Farrior of Alabama; and his grandchildren, Brennen, Maybree Lucien, Rowdy, Ruston and Rebecca Thompson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
