She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Cariker and Ruby Cariker; her spouse Byron Hodges; her sister Jean Taylor; and her grandson Brandon Barker.
She is survived by: her daughters, Janice Barker (Michael Barker), Pasadena and Rebecca Hodges; her granddaughter Gracie Marie Barker; and her nieces and nephews, Jeff, Heber Taylor II, Angela Ousley Porter and Carol Ousley Gideon.
