He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Sanders and Ruby Nell Sanders (Lambright); his brother Ronnie Sanders; and his friend Kristi Osborne. He is survived by: his daughter Tamara Chhay (Tee); his grandchildren, Madyson, Emma and Callum of Leander; his son James Sanders; his grandchildren, Raylee, Faye and Maverick of Frankston; his brothers, Ricky Sanders (Lisa) of Jacksonville and Robbie Sanders of Arkansas; and his sister-in-law Debbie Sanders of Jacksonville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Earle's Chapel Cemetery (436 Co Rd 3221, Jacksonville, TX 75766).
