He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey "Bud" Dison and Paulette Dison; his wife Vicki Dison; his children, Jason Brown (Jennifer) of Jacksonville, Nicole Dison (Calvin) of Rusk and Cody Dison (Amber) of Jacksonville; and his brother Billy Dison (Carol) of Jacksonville.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Allison Brown, Braedon Short, Cameron Brown, Lainey Berryhill, Paisley Dison, Mason Short, Lexie Dison, Eli Dison and Gracie Short. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Autry Funeral Home - Jacksonville (1025 E Loop 456, Jacksonville, TX 75766). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
