She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Rogers Latner and Annie Lucille Epperson Latner; her husband James Thompson; and her siblings, Willie Mays, Howard Johnson, Ernestine Jones, James Johnson of Rufus Latner, H. E, L. Pearl Johnson, Jesse Latner, Gerald Latner, David Latner and Jerry Latner.
She is survived by: her children, Howard Thompson, James Thompson, Jr. (Nancy) and Melissa Long (Jason); her brother Walter Latner (Karin); and her siblings-in-law, Mary Johnson, Mary Brumit, Eddie Thompson (Karen) and Dwight Thompson (Cassie). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Providence Cemetery.
