He is survived by: his brother James Cox (Geneva); his nephew James Robert Cox of Rusk; his grandchildren, Adria Martinez, Landon Martinez, Dalton Smith, Calley Coskey, Corbin Lane (Haley) and Macy Davis; and his great grandchildren, Adeline and Olivia.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Autry Funeral Home - Jacksonville (1025 E Loop 456, Jacksonville, TX 75766).
