He was predeceased by: his parents, Emory "Jockey" Halbert and Aubrey Halbert (Wood); his siblings, Ronald Halbert and Sharon Brooks; and his grandson Nicholas Kennedy.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Halbert; his children, Pam Kennedy (Dennis), Mike Halbert (Linda), Shari Arrington (Terry) and Stacy Halbert (Janae); and his grandchildren, Kristy, Kevin Dewbrè, Melissa, Sean Martin, Chasity Kennedy, Tiffany, Norman Bell, Brittani Halbert, Natalie Arrington, Jessica Arrington, Crystal, Sean Price, Lauren Halbert, Dustin Kennedy, Justin Halbert, Derek Arrington, Kevin Arrington and Trent Halbert. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Oakland Missionary Baptist Church (205 Co Rd 1718, Rusk, TX 75785). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Rather than customary condolences, memorials may be made to the Oakland Missionary Baptist Church Beautification Fund, 205 County Road 1718, Rusk, Texas 75785.
