She was predeceased by: her parents, George Washington Grimes (Wash) and Rosa Ora Brewster Grimes; her son David Earl Aslin, Jr.; her siblings, Odis Wayne Grimes, George Bartee Grimes, James Gilbert Grimes, DeWitt Grimes and Evelyn Todd; and her grandson Ronald Toles, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Paula Willard (Michael) of Brownsboro, TX, Tammy Toles (Ronald, Sr.) of Tyler, TX and Kenneth Lusk (Rhonda) of Dialville; her brother R. V. Grimes (Wilma) of Corpus Christi, TX; and her brother-in-law Milton Todd of Freeport, TX. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Oakland Cemetery Fund or the building fund for Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Maydelle.
