She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hubbard and Evelyn Pauline McNeely Hatchett; her son Jimmy Carl Slocumb; and her siblings, Theodore Hatchett, Margie Miller, Bessie Potter, Mary Cummins, Maggie Cannon and Leta Mae Ramirez.
She is survived by: her husband Rev. James E. Slocumb; and her children, Glenda Joy Gooldy (Kenneth) of Tyler, Betty Jo Yarbrough (Tim) of Andrews, Raymond Earl Slocumb (Alexandra) of Kingwood, Curtis Maxwell Slocumb of Jacksonville and Regina Lynn Miller (Kurt) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Autry Funeral Home - Jacksonville (1025 E Loop 456, Jacksonville, TX 75766). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
