He was predeceased by: his grandson Brandon Crowson; his sister Left; his wife Kay Coleman of Jacksonville; and his children, Rene Birdsong (David) of Nederland, Duane Coleman (Teresa) of Forney and Brian Coleman (Deanna) of Carrollton.
He is survived by: his sisters, Louise Bandy of Plain Dealing, LA, Josephine Coile of Spring Hill, LA and Pauline Brazell of Lubbock; and his grandchildren, Rachel Birdsong, Josh Birdsong, Carissa Davis (Jarod), Rhett Coleman, Drew Coleman, Makenna Coleman, Will Coleman (Tayla), Elliot Coleman and Bennett Coleman. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
